SLIPKNOT: Philadelphia Dates Cancelled
October 27, 2005SLIPKNOT have cancelled the Philedelphia dates (Oct. 27-28) on their current "Subliminal Verses Tour: The Final Volume" following the death of percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan's father. It is not presently clear if the group's scheduled performances at the Nokia Theatre in New York this weekend (Oct. 30-Nov. 1) will also be affected. More information will be made available soon.
SLIPKNOT have been touring the U.S. without guitarist Jim Root, who broke his wrist the day before the tour's Oct. 14 kickoff in Cincinnati. Root did the damage when he crashed while mountain biking. He'll be in a cast for at least six weeks and it's unknown if he'll be able to join the band on any of the remaining dates.
SLIPKNOT's live album, "9.0: Live" album, is scheduled for release on November 1 via Roadrunner Records (one day earlier internationally).
